2016 Travel Award Recipients

 

Congratulations to our 2016 Travel Award Recipients!

This year five individuals were chosen to receive $500 for travel to conferences:

Esteban Erben presented “Gene expression regulatory networks in Trypanosoma brucei: the RBPome awakens,” at the 21st Annual Meeting of the RNA Society in Kyoto, Japan.

Suzanne Lamotte presented research entitled “Histone methylation inhibitors have an impact on intramacrophagic Leishmania survival,” at the BSP Autumn Symposium 2016 held at Durham University, United Kingdom in September.

Jonathan MillerJonathan Miller presented research entitled “Trypanosoma brucei DNA Polymerase IC has distinct and overlapping roles in kinetoplast maintenance,” at the BSP Trypanosomiasis and Leishmaniasis Seminar 2016 held at Budweis, Czech Republic in September.

 

Stefanie Menzies presented research entitled “Characterization of the Trypanosomatid Secondary Alternative Oxidase – A Novel Potential Drug Target,” at the Atlanta, Georgia ASTMH meeting held in November.
