A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2012. ParaTryp is dedicated to funding biomedical research for three neglected tropical diseases: African Sleeping Sickness, Chagas Disease and Leishmaniasis. The causative agents for the three diseases are Trypanosoma brucei, Trypanosoma cruzi and Leishmania. Collectively, these eukaryotic parasites are known as the tri-Tryps.
